- Sunday was MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY at Shea and TOM GLAVINE celebrated by tossing a gem completing the sweep of the Rockies and getting the Mets back to .500!

Week of 05/17/04
- On Tuesday Night, 5/18, Randy Johnson was just PERFECT, while the Mets pulled out another AMAZIN' victory!
- PIAZZA and Phillips save the day! After the pocket-rocket fizzled out in only seven innings, Mike Piazza slammed a two strike, two out, game-tying two-run homer in the top of the ninth! Then with solid pitching by first-time starter Matt Ginter, and combined perfect relief by Ricky Bottalico, Braden Looper, Mike Stanton, and Dan Wheeler, JASON PHILLIPS drilled the game-winning dinger in the 13th! It was a perfect way to end a great road trip.

- PIAZZA DOES IT! On Wednesday night, 5/5 before the Shea faithful, Mike Piazza set the new home run record for catchers!
- HEY! Spidey's a METS FAN, anyway! MLB makes a deal for SPIDERMAN 2 ads to appear at 15 ballparks during the first weekend of the movie's release. However, the hypocrite skankees feel that they are too good for it! HA! Someone please ask georgie-porgie why it was alright for the skanks to wear RICOH ads on their self-proclaimed "sacred" uniforms during their Japan series, but when it comes to a Spiderman logo on some bases, the moron has a problem. I'm sure that there's some financial reason why georgie-porgie is wussing out on this.

No longer will fellow Mets fanatics have the pleasure of listening to one of the greatest, most passionate, most knowledgeable and above all, most loyal Mets Fans of all time. The beloved DORIS "from Rego Park" passed away on Monday, November 10th. Too bad it wasn't her younger brother instead of her who passed on.
